Strategic Plan

The URC was created through the 2002-2003 academic planning process. The original strategic plan (see below) was developed following consultation with the academic dean’s and leaders of most of the campus’ research centers. Ideally, this plan should be updated as part of the campus’ routine academic planning exercise in order to reflect the on going effort to match the provided facilities and services to the evolving needs of the research faculty.  Additional versions of the strategic plan will be added to this list as they become available.

About Us

University Research Computing (URC) is one of several support groups within Information & Technology Services (ITS). Our mission is to support the unique computing needs of UNC Charlotte's diverse community of research faculty by developing shared computing facilities and offering specialized services that would be difficult for individual research groups or departments to provide internally.
